Bringing a child into the world is one of the most magical and precious moments of anyone’s life. Why would you not want to mark such a milestone and surround your child with all the love and support of your wonderful friends and family? Mainly because you might not know there is a unique and non-religious way of doing this. The naming ceremony is a perfect way of celebrating the birth of your child.
Welcoming Ceremony
Adopting a child is a wonderful event and one that is important to mark with friends and family. Something tailor made and perfectly personal to you and your journey is a beautiful and precious way of welcoming your child into the family.
Blending Ceremony
Perhaps you and your partner have recently become step-parents and you want to celebrate your new blended family. You can make promises to your children and acknowledge your extended roles as parents. This is a very special and poignant way of expressing the unity you wish to encourage within your new blended family.

Planning your perfectly personal ceremony
Draft script and promises
I start off by sending you a detailed questionnaire, then we can arrange a face to face meeting (at the chosen venue can work well) so I can get to know your family and hear all about your story and journey to this moment and vision for the occasion. With any of the family ceremonies above there are no rules; you can host your ceremony wherever you like, however you like. There are no constraints on wording, or content. You can write and make promises to your children. This can be extended to Grandparents and Godparents/Supporting Adults.
From all the information you give me (and getting to know your family) I will write a draft script of your ceremony, which reflects you and your family and incorporates all the personal touches and symbolic elements that have special meaning for you and your child. You can change, adapt, review as many times as you wish.
Content support
You can write your promises to your children. Or I can write you something totally unique. If you or anyone needs help in presentation I’m more than happy to assist.
We can incorporate your child’s favourite toy or book in to the event.
We can get very creative and look at various ways of involving family, friends, children and grandchildren not only through readings, poems and music but also a ‘Unity ceremony,' which can visually symbolising the togetherness of your family unit.
Being a kids entertainer, I can even sing some nursery rhymes. I have lots of fun props and I’m open to any way we can enhance your family celebration and make it perfectly personal to you and your child.

You can have a certificate signing at the end too, which I can conduct and provide.
Technical support
I can advise you on room layout as well as flow and choreography of the ceremony.
We can arrange a rehearsal of the ceremony. I have a PA / microphones which can be used on the day. I am happy to liaise with whoever you appoint to be across musical cues etc.
On the day
I will arrive early to check on room set up, technical detail and make sure all key players/musicians know what they’re doing and are positioned appropriately and any symbolic action or sound equipment is set up. I will have back up music and scripts for all readings/poems. I will deliver and guarantee the smooth running of the ceremony on the day.
Souvenir Script
I will leave you a copy of your tailor-made ceremony for you to treasure forever.
Please note that no legal paperwork needs to be obtained before or after a family ceremony. There are no rules. or legalities, so the sky really is the limit!
